* Stephen D. Garrow

Steve has over twenty-five years of management experience working with companies of all sizes, from small, private start-ups, to large public pension plans across the United States, Asia, and the Middle East. As an advisor, he has counseled companies and executives in managing assets, project oversight, product launches, and strategic ventures.

He has held positions in private equity, investment banking, and consulting, and has founded and run two institutional broker/dealers and a private equity platform company, launching a registered investment advisor, a technology company, a public sector plan administration software solution product, and has invested in a number of small to mid-size enterprises. He was the Founder and CEO of GaveKal Securities, Tegrit Financial Group, and served as Special Advisor to Wafra Investments, a Kuwaiti owned investment firm.

He is a coach and judge for the Business Plan Competition at the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at New York University and he teaches, mentors and counsels small business owners with WIBO (Workshop in Business Opportunity), a Not-For-Profit agency assisting entrepreneurs in the underserved communities of New York City. He is Chairman and founder of Rushmore House, a non-profit organization providing scholarship opportunities and promoting cross-cultural awareness.

Steve holds the Series 63,7,24,27, and 55 broker/dealer licenses, as well as the Series 65 Investment Advisor license. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Amherst College and an Executive MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Steve was the 2011 recipient of the Charles Austin, Harry Fox Award for Exceptional Service to the Free Enterprise System, and teaches a course on Social Entrepreneurship at Amherst College during January interterm.

 

* David Vogel

David Vogel is a co-founder of the private investment group Velocity Equity Partners and has more than 20 years of venture capital and merger and acquisition experience. Previously, David set up and served as a Managing Partner of Velocity Capital Partners, a Chicago-based venture capital initiative. David's prior investments include: MGC Communications, 21st Century Telecom Group, GoAmerica, and CyberSource. More recently, David has led investments for Velocity Equity Partners in Retail Solutions, Dotomi, CiDRA, and The FeedRoom. Earlier in his career, David served in various corporate development roles for Farley Industries and Fruit of the Loom. In those roles he assisted in developing, analyzing and executing corporate acquisition strategies and restructuring alternatives for Fruit of the Loom, West Point Pepperell, Acme Boot Company and other companies affiliated with Farley Industries. David is a graduate of Amherst College and earned his MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He has been an advisor with Rushmore since 2009.
